The Upvc French door is very popular and used on many modern homes because they are inexpensive and look good. A problem with this type of door is that it can be difficult to find an efficient locking system for it because it does not work the same as most doors do. To properly lock them you will need a UPVC door lock, this kind of lock is very rigid and will go well with the door. The UPVC lock should be large enough to properly lock the doors but not too big or it may look gaudy. Start by removing any old locks from the door, depending on the type of lock you get, you may be required to drill a hole into the door, but with UPVC you may be able to fix the screws straight in so the main tool that you will need is a screwdriver.

Each screw should be tightly secured into the proper holes, don’t make it too tight though or you may strip the screw which will make it very difficult to take back out.
