The Joy Of Modern Mattresses

When they say, there’s nothing like a good nights sleep, they really mean it.  I love getting a good nights sleep, and I can barely stand to be with myself the days I get a lousy sleep.  If you want to have a great sleep, it all starts with a good mattresses like a memory foam mattress.  Sure there are  number of other things to consider, but if your mattress is old, saggy and beat up, then your really compromising on your health.  It’s actually one of our nations number one health concerns.  People spend so much time staying up late to catch up on all their home work, and still end up getting up early for another day of work, that they really put their good health at risk.  I remember seeing some statistics a while back, where there was a direct relationship to the amount of sleep we got, and the number of patients in the hospital.  It also has a direct relationship with your life expectancy.  This is serious stuff boys and girls.  You need your sleep.

I know from first had experience, what it’s like to go from an old mattress to a new state of the art bed.  When we got married, buying new beds was not really a priority for us as a couple.  We had other expenses to worry about.  New jobs, new cars, rent, and within a few years a mortgage.  It’s not surprising, that it took us a while before we convinced ourselves to spend about $1200 on a new mattress and box spring.  That sounds like a lot of money I know, but it was way worth it.  My wife still says, here favorite piece of furniture in the whole house is the bed.  And, I can assure you it has nothing to do with her sleeping companion ;)

So, the point being here, is a good bed is really an investment in yourself.  If it’s been a few years since you’ve upgraded your mattress and box springs, then you may want to shop around a little.  The newer mattresses you find on the market these days, are really quite remarkable.  The technology and materials that go into them has come a long way.  When you do get a new one, it’s a good idea to pay careful attention the the care and maintenance of your new mattress.  If you rotate the mattress and care for it on a regular mattress, that investment should last you for a good number of years.
